2. Information we collect

We collect the information you give us when you make an enquiry or ask us to carry out work. This may include your name, phone number, email address, the address of the property, details of the work, and any photos you send us. If you use our online quote form, we receive the details you enter. If you contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp, we receive the information you share through those channels.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, provide quotations, arrange and carry out work, issue certificates, notify work to Building Control or your Distribution Network Operator where required, take payment, provide guarantee support, and meet our legal, insurance and regulatory obligations. We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.

4. Our lawful basis

We process your information to take steps at your request before entering into a contract and to perform our contract with you, to comply with legal obligations such as electrical certification and tax records, and for our legitimate interests in running and improving our business.

5. Who we share it with

We only share your information where necessary: with Building Control and scheme providers such as NAPIT when notifying work, with your electricity network operator for EV charger and similar notifications, with suppliers or manufacturers where needed to register warranties, with our accountants and insurers, and with service providers who help us run our business, including our website host, which processes enquiries submitted through our website form. If you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, your messages are also handled by WhatsApp in line with its own privacy policy.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. Where we carry out work, we keep job records and certificates for at least six years, and longer where required for certification, guarantee or legal purposes.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. If you visit one of our area pages, your browser temporarily remembers that area for the rest of your visit, so that our WhatsApp buttons can include your location in the pre-written message. This information stays on your device and is cleared when you close your browser. Links to Google, Checkatrade, WhatsApp and social media take you to those services, which have their own privacy and cookie policies.

8. Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to ask us to transfer it. To make a request, contact us using the details above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, although we would appreciate the chance to resolve your concerns first.
